Signs of Spring: Favorites from the Spring Craft Blog Hop III, week 2

Its finally Friday! I'm having a working weekend on a blogging "staycation", I guess you can consider it Spring Cleaning for the blog. I've learned so much about blogging since I first started, and even more so since I returned to blogging in January, that I think it's finally time to clean and update some of my old content, to help streamline everything. But before I dive into that, I couldn't forget to bring you my Friday Favorites from the Spring Craft Blog Hop.

Signs of Spring: Highlights from the Spring Craft Blog Hop - Get ready for Easter with Friday Favorites at Creative Mama Messy House

We're into our third edition of the Spring Craft Blog Hop, our biggest and longest hop of the series. Each week, I will highlight five of the crafts linked up from bloggers around the interwebs. Be sure to stop by the party each week to see all the new crafts that have been linked up, and add your own as well!

Easter is near, and each of these projects have reflect Easter in them. From bright colored Easter Eggs to bunnies and tulips - these are the signs that Easter is almost here. I hope these crafts inspire your Easter décor, as well as make you smile, like I did.

Wow! This wreath from Christine is an eye-catcher! I adore the vibrant colors of spring that she used, and the sparkly butterfly that is the perfect finishing touch. I'm glad she stuck it out and got it completed so she could show us (she describes it as a long process, pop on over and read why).

Bethany created this rustic Easter bunny from just a few basic supplies, some that only cost her a dollar! It just goes to prove that you don't need a lot of money to create great projects. I love his striped bowtie- its the perfect pop of color for a sophisticated piece of seasonal décor.

Dye white eggs blue then spatter them with non-toxic brown paint to create edible robin's eggs

Bonnie turned regular dyed Easter Eggs into  pretty blue robin's eggs with this simple tutorial. This is the first year that S-Bug gets to decorate eggs and we're even planning a little Easter Egg hunt for him. If you have any non-candy ideas stuffing inside those darn plastic eggs, feel free to leave them in the comments!

Tulips always remind me of Easter, my mom always has a beautiful vase full of them somewhere in her house during the springtime. Beverly created this happy Easter wreath and incorporated burlap ribbon and finished it off with one of her peach colored silk flowers (visit her blog for the full tutorial).

Christie shared these quick to crochet Easter Bunny appliques to the blog hop this week, and aren't they cute? I could see these as decorations for place cards, or worn as a lapel pin to celebrate the holiday. Stop on over to see her full tutorial.
